This website runs on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Technically necessary server log files are created when you visit (IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser type). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
3. Contact form
If you write to us via the contact form, we process the data you provide (first name, last name, e-mail address, topic, message) in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (a) and (b) GDPR). The form is protected against automated submissions by a proof-of-work puzzle (ALTCHA) that your browser solves locally. No data is transmitted to third parties for this and no cookies are set. The IP address of the submission is not stored; submissions are deleted automatically after 365 days.
4. Horoscope calculation, AI text generation and payment
If you have a reading calculated or purchase one in the horoscopes section, we process the birth data you provide (name, date, time and place of birth) in order to create the reading (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The calculation runs on our own calculation service. For individual text passages (e.g. personal syntheses) we use the AI language model Claude by Anthropic PBC (USA) as a processor; only the astrological data required for the reading is transmitted. Payment is handled by the payment service provider Stripe; payment data (e.g. card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe.
5. Access to purchased readings
Purchased readings are delivered as a PDF by e-mail; no customer account is required. The download link in the e-mail is valid for 90 days (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
6. Photo horoscopes (your own photo in the motif)
If you choose a motif “with your own photo”, you upload a photo for it. We use it solely to insert it into your design horoscope – for the preview, the free version and the files you order (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). When you upload it, we remove all embedded metadata (e.g. EXIF data such as the location/GPS and camera details) and store only this cleaned version on our own server in Germany. The photo is not passed on to third parties or to AI services and does not appear in the reading or the voucher. Photos without an order are deleted automatically after 24 hours, photos belonging to an order together with the order files after 14 days. Please only upload photos you are allowed to use; if other people – for example children – can be seen in them, you need their consent or that of their parents or guardians.
7. Vouchers and gift moment
If you buy a voucher, we process your e-mail address, your name (if provided) and the order details (e.g. number of vouchers, chosen design and dedication) in order to send you the voucher and the invoice (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Payment is handled by Stripe as described above. We delete the voucher files of your order after 90 days; the voucher code itself remains valid. Invoices are kept for the statutory retention periods (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
If you choose the voucher as a gift moment, you design it after your purchase here on this website. We store the details you enter for it: the first name of the recipient, your relationship, your texts and greetings and – if you add them – up to five photos, a voice message and a video. The site only uses your camera and microphone when you start a recording and allow it in your browser. We use this content solely to create your gift moment and to show it to the recipient (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Where the content concerns the recipient or other people, we rely on our legitimate interest in delivering the personal gift you asked for (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Photos, voice message and video are stored on our own server in Germany; they are not passed on to third parties or to AI services. When you upload them, we remove embedded metadata (e.g. location/GPS, recording time, camera data). We convert audio and video into a format that plays everywhere and then delete the original file.
Writing assistant: If you choose “Yes, please write them”, we send the recipient’s first name, your relationship, your answers to the three questions and the tone you selected to the AI language model Claude, which turns them into suggested texts. Your name, your e-mail address, payment data, photos, voice message and video are not transmitted. The provider is Anthropic (for customers in the EU: Anthropic Ireland, Limited, Dublin); Anthropic processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR) and does not use it to train its models. Data may be transferred to Anthropic, PBC in the USA; this transfer is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR). If you choose “No, keep my own words”, nothing is sent to Anthropic.
Anyone who knows the personal link or QR code can view the finished gift moment. The link cannot be guessed, and you decide who gets it. You can remove photos, voice message and video yourself at any time. We automatically delete all content of the gift moment 90 days after the last change; after that the link no longer works. The voucher code itself remains valid.
Views: We count how often a gift moment is opened (with the time of the first and the last
visit) and up to which scene it is viewed – without IP address and without any device information. This shows us
whether gift moments reach their recipients and helps us improve our service (legitimate interest,
Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete these counts together with the gift moment. If you have clicked “OK” in the
statistics notice, your browser remembers the gift moments you designed yourself (localStorage entry
dhGmEigene) so that your own views are counted separately.
Please only upload content you are allowed to use. If other people can be seen or heard, you need their consent – for children, the consent of their parents or guardians.
8. Cookies
We use technically necessary cookies (e.g. the Joomla session ID and the sign-in cookie). Matomo only sets a statistics cookie with your consent (see “Web analytics with Matomo” below).
9. Fonts and external content
All fonts used are delivered from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or other third-party providers. Links to partner sites (e.g. designhoroskope.de or the order pages of the APL offerings) are marked as such; you only leave this website when you click them, and the privacy notices of the respective provider then apply.
10. Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data
portability and a right to object. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Please

Web analytics with Matomo
We use the open-source analytics software Matomo on our own server (stats.reuther-media.de, Hetzner, Helsinki). No data is passed on to third parties. Your IP address is shortened by two bytes before it is stored; we record the pages visited, time spent, approximate location, browser and device type.
Without your consent Matomo measures without cookies (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Only if you click OK in the notice “We use a cookie so we can keep improving this website” does Matomo set a cookie (_pk_id, 13 months) so that returning visits can be recognised (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Your choice is remembered locally by your browser (localStorage entry rmMatomoConsent). You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the site data in your browser – the notice will then appear again.
